Let me tell you, when someone calls at 5 pm, and no one picks up the phone, that’s not acceptable. Show up every day, exceed expectations, and always be the standard you set.

3. Exceed Expectations, Every Time

Setting your standards high means you’ve got to exceed expectations. Your job isn’t just to meet the targets or the numbers; it’s to blow them out of the water.

It’s not enough to just hit your quota; you need to aim higher. Aim for excellence in everything, from your customer service to the quality of your work. When you do that, your business will stand out in a crowded market.

4. Investing Time to Grow

As a business owner, if you don’t have a dedicated sales team, the responsibility falls on you. That means investing at least 20% of your workweek to focus on growing your business. Whether it's putting together quotes, connecting with potential clients, or fine-tuning your margins, it's your job to take control and make it happen.

Remember, business growth isn’t a waiting game – you’ve got to put in the effort now so that you’re not scrambling later.
